The Vanhaerents Art Collection is a leading family collection of contemporary art, featuring works from the late 1970s to today. By bringing emerging talents into dialogue with established artists who inspired them, the collection maintains a strong connection with the most current developments in the art world. Housed in a former industrial site from 1926 in Brussels’ Dansaert district, the collection — built by Walter, Els and Joost Vanhaerents — has grown into a unique and influential ensemble spanning painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and other contemporary media. For its tenth anniversary, the Vanhaerents Art Collection introduced an innovative presentation model: the viewing depot. In this more than 3,500 m² space, aesthetics, storage and collection care converge. Visitors are offered a rare behind-the-scenes experience and discover the richness of nearly four decades of collecting.
