Rue Ravenstein, 23 - 1000 Brussels map

The rue Baron Hortastraat is undergoing a complete transformation this spring. Landscape architect Bas Smets has designed an impressive installation that will change the street adjacent to BOZAR into a rolling landscape with terraces and trees, while a brand-new graffiti wall celebrates the Year of Bruegel. The FARM PROD artists’ collective, who previously created a gigantic mural for our Fernand Léger exhibition, have once again worked on the wall between rue Baron Hortastraat and the adjacent building site. This time they share with us their vision of the 16th century, borrowing images from our two exhibitions: Bernard van Orley. Brussels and the Renaissance and Prints in the Age of Bruegel. The mural, in which you may recognise the likes of Margaret of Austria and Phillip II of Spain, is part of a whole series of frescos, all created specially by FARM PROD around Pieter Bruegel and Brussels, the city in which the old master made two-thirds of his paintings and was also buried. So make BOZAR the starting point of a Street Art Route through the city, in partnership with visit.brussels.
