Laureate of the City of Brussels > Médiatine Prize 2019 Émilien Simon’s exhibition (born in Dinant in 1990, lives and works in Brussels) evolves around an installation that questions the iconography of landscape through the different phenomena that make it up. On a television screen, a black sun seems to subtract its colorimetric variations from the sky. These are gradually converted into sound ramifications. The installation is conceived as a sensory and evolutionary device going beyond the classical restrictions of interacting mediums. Thus, a relationship of form and substance is established between the range of objects exhibited and what they produce.
