They come in all sizes, in all colours and from all horizons; birds fascinate us, move us or frighten us. After Toulouse (3rd June – 21st August), the Des oiseaux exhibition is touching down at Hangar with the launch of the 13th book in the collection, dedicated to the work of Roger Ballen. Hangar is hosting 13 photographers of 10 different nationalities, all taking their own individual look at the birds that they have come across on their travels or when working on specific projects. Through the phantasmagorical vision of Roger Ballen, or the romantic images of Michael Kenna, the colourful portraits of Leila Jeffreys, the graphic effects of Graciela Iturbide or the tight framing of Paulo Pellegrin, we discover a wide spectrum of photographic propositions.
