Gudny Rosa Ingimarsdottir’s artistic practice could be compared to a spider web inasmuch as it is born out of an infinite amount of delicate and mysterious connections that endlessly reconfigure her production, which appears to us, in each presentation, renewed in its form as in its very materiality. Thus, nothing is ever fixed in a clearly defined temporality and it is even truer when taking the angle of her photography work. The photosensitive surface has always known how to subtly slip into the cracks of her paper compositions, even arising in different places as to better inhabit the space that it has been given ; a presence that tends to affirm itself over the course of the years in order to assert itself steadily in a number of the artist’s recent compositions.
