During Art Anderlecht, “Queer Labors of Display” unfolds as a living installation: participants inhabit hand-made costumes embodying roles from across the art world — the artist, the critic, the curator, the gallerist, the art historian, the visitor, even the artwork itself — and take turns placing their bodies in the vitrine, facing the street. For thirty minutes, each becomes both subject and spectacle, performer and object. When no one is present, the costume alone holds the space — waiting, exposed, expectant.
